Damp conditions were predicted to continue along large portions of the state's eastern regions this week as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the coastal areas.
Tuesday was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with ongoing storm activity predicted across various areas of both regions.

Public health experts cautioned that there was an greater possibility of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, particularly given the current weather patterns.
